Jim McSweeney, Hilltown Tree and Garden's owner and operator, is a certified arborist and a certified horticulturalist. He has a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and was schooled in horticulture and arboriculture at the University of Massachusetts Stockbridge School. Hilltown Tree and Garden was established in 1995. Jim spends his winters traveling while studying landscape design, pests, traditional agriculture, urban ecosystems, and other horticulture-related subjects.
